  • Panelist - LAI Hsiang-Ling 
    Consultant of New Taipei City Art Museum (TW)

    LAI Hsiang-Ling is an independent curator, museum consultant, writer and adjunct professor based in Taipei. Her academic background is art history and museum studies. Ms. Lai was formerly a curator at the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts and the Taipei Fine Arts Museum, and later served as director of Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab(C-Lab), and executive director of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Taipei in Taiwan. She was also the founding director of Rockbund Art Museum in Shanghai. Additionally, she was the recipient of a joint fellowship from the National Culture and Arts Foundation and the Fulbright Commission for travel and research in the USA, and has been involved in many public art initiatives as planner or jury member in Taiwan and Shanghai. For more than three decades Ms. Lai has committed to promoting research, creation, public engagement, social communication and international exchange through her practices in museum management and curatorial work.

     

     

    Panelist -WANG Po-Wei
    Artistic Director of Digital Art Foundation (TW)

    WANG Po-Wei is the Artistic Director of Digital Art Foundation, Taiwan. His research interests include media theory, history of contemporary art, sociology of culture and art, and art/science/technology (AST). He translated Niklas Luhmann´s Liebe als Passion: Zur Codierung von Intimität into Chinese together with Chin-Hui Chang.

     

     

     
      

    Panelist - HSIEH Chieh-Hua
    Artistic Director of Anarchy Dance Theatre (TW)

     HSIEH Chieh-Hua is Artistic Director of Anarchy Dance Theatre. His works have a special texture derived from a background in architecture; they possess strong structural characteristics—a creative perspective combining time, space and energy. Notable choreographic works include The Eternal Straight Line (2019), Second Body (2015) and Seventh Sense (2011), all of which feature elements of digital interactivity. In addition to their public acclaim, his works have been featured at numerous international festivals including Ars Electronica, TodaysArt Festival and George Town Festival. The dance installation series You Choreograph and Exercise, a collaboration with fellow choreographer I-Fen Tung and Ko-Yang Chang, further pushes the boundaries of dance expression beyond conventional ‘performance.’ In addition to his choreographic work, HSIEH also served as the director for the opening ceremony of the 2017 Summer Universiade.

    CEO of Barbican Theatre, Plymouth and Hellion Trace(UK)

    Laura Kriefman is an award-winning choreographer and artist with over 15 years of experience as a creative, producer and commissioner across theatre, dance and interactive tech. She joined Barbican Theatre after ten years spent delivering interdisciplinary projects world-wide that fuse the performing arts and creative technology, created through her company Hellion Trace Ltd and three years as creative producer, Tristan Bates Theatre (London). Recent work includes winning the Smart Oxford Playable City Commission (2017), Kicking The Mic (toured 2017-2020) and Crane Dance Bristol (2015). She is a Quest Lab Artist in Residence at Studio Wayne McGregor, Mozilla XR Studio Fellow 2018, UK Innovator in Music 2017 (Keychange.eu) a 2016 INK Fellow, 2015 WIRED Magazine/The Space Creative Fellow and a 2011-2012 Fellow of the Clore Cultural Leadership Programme. Laura has been a guest speaker at INK, WIRED, ReMIX, SxSW Interactive, World Science Fair (New York), IRCAM Paris, the Southbank Centre, and TEDxRoma, TEDxDanubia and TEDxLondon. She has experience advocating for organisations and showcasing leadership beyond the arts sector and is a sought-after facilitator in the field of digital and dance.
